The College of William & Mary

To prepare the College of William and Mary for its fourth century of use, the College has come to depend on Pro-Construction, for its historical preservation and restoration of its architectural features. Through countless projects both interior and exterior through-out the campus, Pro-Construction gives careful attention to William and Mary’s distinctive colonial style and the pleasing mellow tone of its rust-colored brick harmoniously blended with later additions to the university, which characterize the college as an integral part of Colonial Williamsburg, once the capitol of Colonial America - whose residents included such notables as George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Patrick Henry, George Mason and other Virginia patriots. While Pro-Construction builds high-tech classroom facilities, repairs floors and paneling, replaces mechanical systems, upgrades safety to code and restores and stabilizes walls and foundations, the College of William and Mary continues to reflect its 18th century heritage, alive with history, yet vibrant with the energy of the minds that will shape our future.

Shown here is a classical Palladian arched opening featured in this classroom window and staircase entrance.
