Continental Airlines
Continental Airlines, the fifth largest airline in the U.S., designated
Pro-Construction to upgrade a World War 2 hanger needed for maintenance
facilities to cover specific planes and aircraft systems to meet new FAA-required
standards. Even though the hanger could hold up to 4 planes, Continental
wanted to use it as a state-of-the-art maintenance facility. Continental
looked for a contractor that could do the work quickly and for an affordable
price. Consulting with architects Delta Airport Consultants on this project,
Pro-Construction was brought on board to streamline the construction processes
to optimize Continental’s resources. Pro-Construction upgraded and
installed a foam and water fire suppression system, added a new pump room,
all new heavy electrical & mechanical systems that hang from the ceiling
and installed specialized lighting. We also installed a very unique anti-static/anti-spark
flooring system and a new temperature controlled computer room for the
computers systems and diagnostic equipment.
