Pediatrics Oncology at VCU Health System (formally MCV)
With a medical staff recognized among the best doctors in the country,
this is the first pediatrics center like this on the East Coast.
The Pediatrics Oncology or Children's Cancer Center is designed to help
the children feel comfortable while receiving treatment. Pro-Construction
built all of the electrical, HVAC, plumbing, flooring, cabinets and specialty
lighting to the hospital's designs and special medical standards. The
nurses’ station looks nothing like what you would expect in a hospital.
With radius walls, a twinkling star light ceiling, video games, specialty
lighting and ocean murals on the walls, the rooms are designed to look
more like home. Everything was designed and built around the comfort of
the children.
