Teaching Room at VCU Health System (formally MCV)
The VCU Health System Medical Center stands alone as the only academic
medical center in central Virginia. As the regional teaching institution,
they offer access to some of the most advanced state-of-the-art treatments
and technologies available. Pro-Construction completed all the electrical,
HVAC, painting and interior finishing work for this, first of it's kind,
1,200 sq. ft. hi-tech teaching facility. It has everything a teaching
doctor needs. The Onyx audio/visual computer system controls everything
in the room including lights, cameras, DVD, sound system, drop screens,
video displays and taping systems; it even broadcasts lessons to other
classrooms in the hospital and around the world. The room also has special
auditorium chairs and a "So-light" sloped flooring system for
minimum weight on the existing structure.
